Tom Yum Soup

Tom Yum is Thailand’s most famous soup — a perfect balance of spicy, sour, and aromatic flavours. With Maesri Tom Yum Paste, you can enjoy this iconic dish at home in no time!

Serves: 4

 Ingredients

  • 100g (6 tbsp) Maesri Tom Yum Paste
  • 450ml boiling water
  • 15 shrimps (about 350g) or 350g chicken
  • 100g straw mushrooms (or button mushrooms)
  • 6 tbsp evaporated milk (optional for creamy Tom Yum)
  • Fresh coriander leaves, for garnish

 Instructions:

  1. In a pot, add 100g (6 tbsp) of Maesri Tom Yum Paste to 450ml of boiling water. Stir until well combined.
  2. Add shrimps (or chicken) and straw mushrooms, then cook until the soup returns to a boil and the protein is cooked through.
  3. Stir in 6 tbsp of evaporated milk for a creamy finish.
  4. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
